Information we collect

Information you provide to us. When you book an appointment, purchase products, gift cards, memberships, or packages, create an account through our booking platform, sign up for our communications, or contact us, we may collect:

• Your first and last name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Mailing or billing address
• Appointment history and service preferences
• Any information you choose to share with us, such as health considerations relevant to your treatment

Payment information. When you make a purchase, your payment card information is collected and processed by our payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device and activity, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used to operate the Site, maintain quality, and understand how visitors use the Site.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Schedule and provide your appointments and deliver the products and services you request
• Process payments and manage memberships, packages, and gift cards
• Communicate with you about your appointments, purchases, and account
• Send you promotions, offers, and announcements by email or text message, if you have opted in
• Improve the Site, our services, and the client experience

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help the Site function, remember your preferences, and measure how the Site is used.

We also use analytics and advertising tools provided by third parties, which may include Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. These tools use cookies and pixels to collect information about your visit to the Site, and we may use that information to show you BAO advertisements on other websites and platforms and to measure the performance of our advertising.

Your choices. You can limit or opt out of this activity in several ways:

• Adjust your browser settings to decline or delete cookies
• Adjust your ad preferences directly with the platforms, through Meta Ad Preferences and Google Ads Settings
• Use the industry opt out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
• Email us at privacy@baofootspa.com and ask us to exclude your information from our advertising audiences, and we will honor the request

If you decline cookies, some features of the Site may not function fully.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. The opt out choices described above remain available to you.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or lease our client lists, and we do not share your personal information with outside companies for their own marketing.

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We work with trusted companies that perform services on our behalf, including appointment scheduling and booking, payment processing, email and text message delivery, website hosting, and analytics and advertising as described above. These providers may access personal information only as needed to perform their services for us and are required to protect it.

Legal requirements. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect and defend the rights or property of BAO Foot Spa, or protect the personal safety of our clients, staff, or the public.

Business transfers. If BAO Foot Spa is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Notice.

Email and text communications

With your consent, we may contact you by email or text message with appointment confirmations and reminders, promotional offers, and other announcements. Message and data rates may apply to text messages.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, and out of text messages by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing messages does not affect transactional messages such as appointment confirmations. We may receive a notification when you open an email from us or click a link in it, which helps us improve our communications.

Security of your information

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Information transmitted through the Site, such as payment details, is protected in transit using encryption such as the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your client and appointment records, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or de-identify it.

Your privacy rights

We extend the following rights to all of our clients. To exercise any of them, email us at privacy@baofootspa.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Right to know. You may request information about the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Right to correct. You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.

Right to delete. You may ask us to delete your personal information from our records and to direct our service providers to do the same. We may retain information where necessary to complete a transaction you requested, maintain records required by law, detect and protect against fraud or security incidents, comply with a legal obligation, or for internal uses reasonably aligned with your relationship with us.

Right to opt out of targeted advertising. You may ask us to stop using your information for the advertising described in the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section above, using any of the methods listed there.

Children under thirteen

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. If you believe a child under thirteen has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@baofootspa.com and we will delete it. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

Links to other sites

The Site contains links to other websites, including our booking platform and gift card provider. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites. We encourage you to read the privacy notices of any site that collects your personal information.

Changes to this Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. If we make significant changes to how we treat personal information, we will notify you by email, by a prominent notice on the Site, or both. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Notice.
